I´m Ángela Corti!

I was born in Buenos Aires where I currently live and work.
Designing is my passion.
Since I graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in 2000 I have been working as a graphic designer. In 2010 I discovered that my biggest passion was in illustration and surface pattern.
My inspiration comes from everything that moves me: my childhood memories, the diverse geography of my country and places I visit, as well as its birds and plants. I also feel strongly drawn to architecture and its morphology, the way culture is expressed through folklore and the diversity that can be encountered in every corner.
My work includes illustration for magazines and brands, and surface pattern design for fashion fabric, curtains, decor, wallpaper, stationery, footwear, accessories, porcelain and objects. I have worked and collaborated in projects with different companies from around the world such as The Walt Disney Company, Fox Latin American Channels, Burger King, Hunter Douglas, Michaels Store, Terrain/Urban Outfitters, Tupperware Brands, Cotton & Steel, Oster, Coastline Imports, Legacy Publishing Group, among others. I have participated in both solo and group exhibitions with original art in different themes and formats in Argentina, Denmark, Mexico and Australia. My work has also been selected and exhibited in the 61 exhibitions show of the Society of Illustrators, NYC.
I enjoy combining different techniques in a same project: paper collage, hand drawn illustration, screen print, and digital drawing. In 2015 I was selected by Adobe and Moleskine as the artist to promote the “Creative Cloud Connected” app.
I am a founding member of the group of Artists “With Love from Argentina” that participated in Surtex Show in New York, at 2017 and 2018 and in Blue Print Show at 2019.
Among other entrepreneurial projects, I designed and developed my own crockery line inspired in Argentinian folk legends, which was awarded with the Seal of Good Design and was selected for exhibition at the Latin American Biennial of Design (BID DIMAD).
Sharing experiences has always been part of my search for learning. This has taken me to work as a professor of graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires for several years, and since 2013 I have been teaching several workshops in various schools of art and illustration. Also, I´ve been invited to participate as a lecturer in illustration events and have been the art curator of 100 illustrators exhibition “Sudestada 100” in 2014 and 2017. Currently I´m teaching workshops in Pattern Design Argentina and other countries.

I live for design.
